Port Isaac (Cornwall) Coast and Beaches

Port Isaac has narrow, winding streets with traditional Cornish granite white-washed cottages.

This small Cornish picturesque fishing village is best known as the location for the television comedy-drama Doc Martin starring Martin Clunes.

The first Port Isaac pier was constructed during the reign of Henry VIII. The pilchard fishery began here before the 16th century and then in more recent times the harbour was used to transport coal, wood, stone, ores, limestone, salt, and pottery although this had to travel through the narrow streets to the railway line outside of the village.
