Lerwick Destination Guide

Explore / United Kingdom / Shetland Islands

Lerwick is a seaside and port town located on the east coast of the Shetland Mainland and Lerwick is Britain's most northerly town.

The Shetland Islands lie some 80 km (50 mi) to the northeast of Orkney and 280 km (170 mi) southeast of the Faroe Islands and form part of the division between the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the North Sea to the east.

This is the hub to the Shetland islands and also retains character with the 18th century sandstone buildings on the waterfront.
