Explore Littlehampton (West Sussex) Coast and Beaches

Littlehampton is within West Sussex, located approximately 55 miles south of London, roughly equidistant between Bognor Regis and Worthing. West Sussex is often overlooked, with people heading to the counties on either side, Hampshire or East Sussex. Although Littlehampton is not a coastal town with lots of character, it does offer a great home base for a break on the West Sussex coast. Littlehampton has two main contrasting beaches:

  • East Beach is a popular sandy beach ideal for families, sunbathers, and swimmers. It's equipped with a promenade, seaside amenities, and Harbour Park, an amusement park with rides and attractions for all ages.
  • West Beach is a tranquil and natural beach located in a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). It's perfect for those seeking peace and quiet, with beautiful sand dunes and opportunities for birdwatching.
