Helvick Head lifeboat station was established in the 1830s although was closed in 1969 for nearly 30 years. Now operates an inshore lifeboat. Station only open by appointment.
Dunmore East lifeboat station has been around since the mid 1850s and now operates an all weather lifeboat. Station is generally open daily and the shop at weekends.
