Glendalough Round Tower (Wicklow)

Glendalough Tower is approximately 30 metres high and a round tower built of mica-slate interspersed with granite. The tower originally had six timber floors, connected by ladders with the entrance itself 3.5 metres from the base. The four storeys above the entrance each have a small window, whilst the top florr has four windows facing the cardinal compass points.
