- Sudley House was completed in 1823 for Nicholas Robinson after he purchased the land. In the late 1880’s the house was sold to George Holt who extended and made a few alterations. Today Sudley House is a museum that shows a true Victorian style with many original features. As you take a trip around the rooms you will see much of the original art collection, from Turner to Millais and Burne-Jones to Gainsborough. The house also has a tearoom that also offers a small range of souvenirs.
- Croxteth Hall and Country Park was the country estate and ancestral home of the Molyneux family, the Earls of Sefton. Within the estate, visitors will find five main attractions.the Historic Hall Croxteth Home Farm the Victorian Walled Garden where visitors can explore Liverpool’s historic botanical collection 500 acre country park and nature reserve the West Derby Courthouse that dates from the Elizabeth I reign. For youngsters, there is an adventure playground, minature railway and an orienteering trail.
- The Merseyside Maritime Museum is a museum based at Royal Albert Dock on the Liverpool waterfront. Liverpool’s seafaring heritage is brought to life within the historic Albert Dock. The museum’s collections reflect the international importance of Liverpool as a port, including its role in the transatlantic slave trade and emigration, the merchant navy and the RMS Titanic. The UK Border Agency National Museum, ‘Seized! The Border and Customs uncovered’ is located in the building.
- Albert Dock is a World Heritage Site waterfront in Liverpool that includes the largest collection of Grade I listed buildings in the country. The dock has multiple attractions that include the award-winning Beatles Story, Tate Liverpool, Merseyside Maritime Museum and Mattel Play! The museums, galleries, bars, restaurants and shops are amid The Colonnades of the site and from there you can eat and drink or simply enjoy the view.
