St Cyrus Beach

St Cyrus Beach is a sandy beach stretching for 5 km (3 miles) below cliffs and high sand dunes that are also home to the St Cyrus National Nature Reserve.

Traditional salmon fishing with nets is still conducted from St Cyrus beach and you may get a chance to see dolphins, seals, whales and porpoises from the beach.

The beach is split from Montrose beach by the River North Esk joining the North Sea.

You have two choices of an access point for the beach, the first is via Beach Road from St Cyrus or you can head to the St Cyrus Nature Reserve visitor centre (closest past code DD10 0AQ).

St Cyrus Beach is dog friendly and allows dogs all year.
