  • Information

Kilchurn Castle is in a spectacular location, a ruined 15th and 17th century structure on a rocky peninsula at the northeastern end of Loch Awe.

The castle is open to the public only during the summer. Access, is by either by boat from Lochawe pier, or on foot from Dalmally. Access on foot is sometimes restricted when the levels of water in the Loch are high as this turns the rocky peninsula into an island.
