Aberporth beach is actually two sandy beaches separated by a headland that at low tide become one beach. The two beaches are also known as Dolwen Beach to the west and to the east Dyffryn Beach.
The beaches are sheltered sandy beaches with rock pools for the children to explore at low tide.
Facilities are shared by both beaches and include car parking, toilets, food and lifeguards in the summer.
Dogs are allowed on Dyffryn Beach all year round although Dolwen Beach has some seasonal restrictions.
- Excellent: the highest classification meaning the water is cleanest
- Good: generally good water quality
- Sufficient: meets minimum standards
- Poor: You are advised not to swim. The beach will stay open and an action plan should be in place to improve the water quality.
