Borth beach is sand with a pebble bank at the high tide mark. The beach is 3 miles long with rock pools and intersected by groynes that provide good natural windbreaks.
Swimming and surfing is safe on Borth beach but if you walk up towards Ynyslas beach and the estuary then it becomes unsafe due to the currents.
Skeletal stumps of oak, birch, willow, hazel and pine trees, remnants of the Forest of Borth, which was buried under peat, sand and saltwater more than 4,500 years ago, and can be best seen at low tide along the beach.
Facilities include parking and lifeguards in the summer.
Borth Beach is a Blue Flag Beach and has been awarded a regional Seaside Award.
Borth beach has dog restrictions in the summer.

- Sufficient: meets minimum standards
- Poor: You are advised not to swim. The beach will stay open and an action plan should be in place to improve the water quality.
