Porthminster beach is a town beach within St Ives and sits just below the railway station.
Excellent for people who want to swim and spend time on the beach whilst also having easy access to all the facilities available within St Ives.
As Porthminster beach is in the bay it is protected from the Atlantic rollers and is much more suitable for families and those wanting a calmer sea for activities like kayaking and SUP.
Facilities at the beach include seasonal lifeguards, a beach cafe, toilet blocks, plenty of takeaway food options.
