Denbigh Castle is on a hill looking over the town of Denbigh. Build by Edward I and commanded by Henry de Lacy the most striking feature today is the triple-towered gatehouse.

Edward I asked for the castle to built on the previous location of a traditional welsh stronghold in the 1280’s.
