Norsey Wood is 175 acres of ancient coppiced sweet chestnut, oak and hornbeam woodland with alder carr in the wet valleys. This is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Local Nature Reserve and a Scheduled Monument.
The wood is divided by rides or pathways many of which are thought to date back to Iron Age times.
