Aberdyfi Beach Information
Aberdyfi can be described as having two beaches.
The main beach is a south west facing beach at the mouth of the River Dyfi. Popular family beach as it has a wide expanses of sand but due to its location at the edge of a tidal estuary and its steep shelf into the water strong currents can exist so take care. Note that our water quality reading is based on this location.
The alternative is the 2km west-facing beach that runs northwards from the River Dyfi estuary to Tywyn in the North.
Aberdyfi is one of the most picturesque villages on the coast of Gwynedd and is situated within the Snowdonia National Park.
There’s plenty to do with boat trips and fishing trips from the harbour, and a choice of watersports including canoeing, sailing, kitesurfing and windsurfing.
Aberdyfi beach has seasonal dog restrictions.
