Calshot beach is part of a shingle spit offering panoramic views of the Solent, Southampton and the Isle of Wight. The spit also has an extensive salt marsh of important wildlife interest.
Popular windsurfer and kitesurfer location where beginners can take advantage of the lagoon.
Facilities include car park, toilets with disabled facilities, cafes and Calshot Activities Centre.
Dogs allowed but must be kept on a lead.

Calshot Beach Bathing Water QualityWater samples are taken at regular intervals during the bathing season and at the end of the season the water quality is classified as:
- Excellent: the highest classification meaning the water is cleanest
- Good: generally good water quality
- Sufficient: meets minimum standards
- Poor: You are advised not to swim. The beach will stay open and an action plan should be in place to improve the water quality.
