Winchester City Mill is a great place to visit as it offers hands on activity so you can get to grips with how this urban working corn mill actually worked.

Situated in the heart of Winchester the mill is powered from the River Itchen having recently been restored by the National Trust.  Here you can have a turn at milling flour and watch the baking demonstrations while discovering more about the history of milling in the United Kingdom.

The area around the mill is rich in wildlife and birdlife and allows access to the Winnall Moors Nature Reserve so you can enjoy a walk or a picnic on this great day out.

The mill is open daily and there is a lot to see and do here so it’s a really worthwhile place to visit.
