Fleetwood beach is a large sandy beach north of Blackpool with views north towards Morecambe Bay. This large flat beach is popular for powerkiting, buggy and landboarding. Fleetwood was a fishing port but now mainly supports ferries to Larne. Pilling Sands beach is located on the southern corner of Morecambe Bay and is really a salt marsh with large areas of sand when the tide goes out.
