    Temple of Mithras Hadrians Wall Info

    The Temple of Mithras is a temple from the 3rd century located near Carrawburgh Fort at Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland.

    Dedicated to the eastern god, Mithras, the temple, like many other similar temples, is found near a military base. The Mithras temple was desecrated at a later date, it was thought by Christians.
