Breathtaking scenery, wildlife and history!
The Northumberland National Park was created in 1956 and covers 1,049 square km (405 sq miles). This is the least populated out of all national parks and has a highest peak of 815m at The Cheviot.
With over 1,100km of walking/cycling and riding paths you have much to do and some 430 monuments, 31 sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSI), 6 Special Areas of Conservation and 3 nature reserves this gives good activities for the whole family.
