Weobley Castle Info
Weobley Castle is a fortified manor house which stands on a headland overlooking the North Gower coastline in South Wales.
Built in the early 14th century by the de la Bere family, despite its fortifications it was primarily a grand family residence and was occupied until the early 20th century. In 1911 the Mansel family gave Weobley into the care of the state.
Now maintained by Cadw (Welsh Historic Monuments), in recent years Weobley has undergone some renovation and restoration work. The castle is open to the public and visitors can see the remains of Weobley, which are mostly grouped around a small open courtyard.
Open daily throughout the year for a small admission fee. Only guide dogs allowed. For more information see cadw.wales.gov.uk
