3 great Autumn beer festivals to enjoy in Hampshire

Three great beer festivals in Hampshire in September and October 2012

Autumn is creeping in and the evenings are colder but one sure way to warm yourself up is by joining friends and family at a social event.

Hampshire has quite a few on this month that you might like to attend and three of them are beer festivals! (Does that tell you any more about this friendly and welcoming part of England?)

Here’s the rundown:

1.  Curdridge Beer Festival, Southampton – 15th September

This is a traditional beer festival offering a broad selection of beers and ciders to try along with a juicy hog roast. They also promise a few weird and wonderful beers to try and a bit of leg shaking music.

This is a charity event and they are looking for volunteers as well as drinking participants. Tickets are £7.50 and include that vital beer glass!

2.  Colden Common Beer Fest, Colden Common – 14 – 16 September

Colden Common Beer Festival promises to be a good one with three days of beer, cider and music that kicks off with an Acoustic Music evening on the Friday followed by a Rock and Pop evening on Saturday, 15th September and a family day on Sunday with free entertainment for the kids.

The venue is the Colden Common Community Centre.

3.  Ale-ing Fest 2012, Hayling Island – 5 – 6 October

The Hayling Island Beer Fest runs over two days and is a must for all fans of good beers and cider.  It’s kicked off on Friday night at 6:30pm with live music from ‘The Velvet Lips’ a rock and pop band and tickets are £9 on the door but only £7.50 if you book in advance!

There will be 28 real ales plus cider to sample and the good music continues on Saturday night with the Trevor John Band kicking off at 6:30pm – 11pm and they are expecting a crowd so book early!

The entry fee includes a free commemorative Ale-ing Fest glass, a programme and a token for a free Beer or Cider!
