Discover dining on the UK coast this summer!
After a wonderful day at the beach what is a better way to round it off than with a scrumptious meal at a good, seaside restaurant. We’ve had a look around and have found a few favourites to tempt your taste buds.
Age and Sons
In Ramsgate on the beautiful Kent coastline, situated in a Victorian warehouse’s courtyard, just a few minutes from the sea you will find Age and Sons. This is a delightful family run café and bar where you can enjoy seasonal British food – fish is sourced from boats that land nearby, whereas vegetables come from local growers. On top of it, the chef was previously at the popular gastropub the Anchor & Hope, in London.
The Hix And Oyster
If you are looking for delicious seafood in Dorset, the Hix And Oyster Fish House is the place to go. It overlooks the harbour in Lyme Regis and boasts the most stunning panoramic views across the Jurassic coast – this is easily one of the most picturesque spots to enjoy fresh British seafood. The focus is on sourcing and serving the best seafood which can be found and doing as little to it as possible so that you enjoy the real flavour of great British ingredients.
