Quick Break Accommodation for Under £100
It seems to get more and more expensive to arrange a quick break in the United Kingdom lately.
Salaries are not moving and food costs are rocketing but we still deserve a break from the grind of everyday life! If each of us took a quick break every 6 weeks or so, we’d be healthier and less stressed and the economy would thrive with the injection of extra cash going around – at least that’s our theory.
Here are some great ideas on quick breaks for you to think about enjoying whether a ‘staycation’ at home or a break abroad!
1. Wales – Llety Bodfor
The seaside town of Aberdovey is home to this boutique townhouse. It has fantastic views over the Dyfi estuary and 6 kilometres of gold sand to squidge your toes in!
Snowdonia National Park is just behind you and Cardigan Bay ahead! It’s perfect for a quick retreat from the strains and stresses of normal life as it offers homely accommodation, a sea view from most rooms and doubles start at just £75 for room only!
2. Crete – Kapsaliana Village Hotel
Everyone loves Crete and this little village hotel offers you a stunning house for £99 for a double! We love the 18th century olive press and all the artefacts on display throughout but what makes it perfect for a quick break is the surrounding area and the garden and pool! There’s nothing quite like a back lit pool and the smell of wild flowers to let you know you’re on holiday even if it is a quick one!

3. Norfolk – The Gunton Arms
This country pub is on the edge of a historic deer park and it’s interior is a surprise of modernity from its marble bathrooms to the leather love seats! We love the atmosphere created here with the pieces of Indian furniture and the price – at £95 for a double bed and breakfast – makes it a winner for a quick break!
4. Barcelona – Hotel Espana
Barcelona is a great quick break city! It’s got everything for a fantastic long weekend or mid week break if you feel like running away for a bit. Hotel Espana is in Las Ramblas and offers four star comfort for £96 room only on a double! The rooms are fashionable with good beds and sparkling bathrooms.
They have a series of offers from 15% if you book early to 50% off breakfast with certain rooms and packages too! If you’re into a bit of nightlife and day time culture, this is a perfect getaway!
5. Cornwall – Botelet Farm
This is a bed and breakfast delight at a wonderful price! Doubles are from £70 bed and breakfast on this farm near Liskeard. There’s only two bedrooms but it’s got a great ambience created by the scrubbed wooden floors and wrought iron bedsteads!
Here you’re close to the ocean and the pristine beaches as well as nestled into some serious countryside. Great for walks and picnics! Perfect quick weekend or mid week break really!
6. Pembrokeshire – Glamping
Trellyn Woodland at Abercastle in Pembrokeshire is a woodland a few paces from the coast line. Glamping is a great way to enjoy a back to nature break with a loved on for less than £100 a night. This particular site offers circular Mongolian Yurts with all the fittings and trappings of a luxurious camping break from £230 for three nights.
It’s a big site so if you want to be ‘alone’ it’s easily done!
