Herm Island is a small, picturesque island in the Channel Islands, located just three miles off the coast of Guernsey. Covering just 1.5 miles in length and half a mile wide, Herm is a tranquil, car-free paradise known for its unspoiled natural beauty, stunning beaches, and a pace of life that invites relaxation and exploration.   Herm is renowned for its beautiful beaches, which are among the most pristine in the Channel Islands. The most famous is Shell Beach on the north coast, famous for its fine white sand and clear waters, making it perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Another notable beach is Belvoir Bay, which is smaller but equally inviting with its turquoise waters and tranquil setting. The island offers a network of footpaths that cover the coast and interior, providing easy access to its natural beauty. Walking around the island takes just a few hours, making it a fantastic way to explore the varied landscapes, from rugged cliffs to sandy beaches and woodland areas. Herm is accessible by a short ferry ride from Guernsey, with regular services allowing for day trips as well as longer stays. Once on the island, all areas are reached on foot, as there are no cars, making it a peaceful retreat from modern life.
