Explore Bournemouth (Dorset) Seaside, Coast and Beaches

Bournemouth is a large seaside resort on the south coast in Dorset, sitting between Poole and Christchurch to the west and east respectively. The town centre is large and just away from the seafront with wide selection of shops, pubs, bars and restaurants. Bournemouth’s coastline stretches for just over 11km (7 miles) from Poole Sandbanks to Christchurch Harbour and comprises of golden sandy beaches backed by cliffs. These cliffs are divided by a number of chines which provide natural access to the shore. August is always busy with the annual Bournemouth Air Festival providing spectacular air displays and evening entertainment.
