Fermain is mainly a smooth pebble beach until the tide drops right away, but despite its pebbly nature, it is very popular because it is an excellent sun-trap and offers views across to Sark. Petit Port is tucked inside the Jerbourg peninsula and presents a lush sandy beach when the tide drops. Access is via 270 or so steps down the cliff, but the effort is worthwhile. Toilets are located in the car park that is found opposite the Doyle Column monument.

Moulin Huet is a rugged bay which unveils it’s beauty when the tide is down and the sand is uncovered. Access is via quite a steep path that drops down from the dead-end car park. Arguably, this is not a beach for very young families given you have to work to get down on to the beach.

La Valette Bathing Pools are at the southern end of Havelet Bay in St. Peter Port, by the Clarence Battery headland. A two-minute climb up the steps by the (poor) aquarium will take you to Clarance Battery which has super panoramic views.

Jerbourg Point does not have a beach but does provide magnificent views of the other islands. There is a easy walk around the headland that loops back around to Doyle Column which you pass on the way to the car park. Kiosk, toilets, car park.
