Scattery Island sits in the Shannon Estuary, just off the coast of Kilrush, County Clare. The island is home to a lighthouse, a ruined monastery, an Irish round tower and the remains of an artillery battery.
To get to the island you will need to take a ferry from Kilrush Marina, and the ferries run between May and September.

Crab Island is a famous surfing location for the advanced surfer. Takes a bit of getting to with a paddle of some 200 metres across a channel and around the island which keeps this location only for the few dedicated surfers.
