Ballymoney Beach
Ballymoney has two sandy beaches. The south beach is the smaller and comprises sand and stones, whilst the north beach is a long stretch of sandy beach.
Both beaches have access to facilities including toilets and shop although the north beach is the only one that has seasonal lifeguards.
Ballymoney Beach is a Blue Flag Beach.

Courtown beach has fine sand. As you travel northwards away from the harbour the beach is backed by dunes and woodland.

Morriscastle Beach has fine sand and is reletively shallow. The beach is part of what is thought to be Irelands longest beach stretch at approx. 20 km stretching from Curracloe to Cahore Point. The beach is backed by dunes and is within a Special Area of Conservation. The beach is also popular with shore anglers.

Brittas Bay South beach is a long sandy sheltered beach with sand dines. The dune system covers approximately 100 hectares. Brittas has a 3.2km of beach with two access point known as the South and North beaches.

Courtown lifeboat station was established in 1865 and operates an inshore lifeboat. Station open by appointment only.

Arklow lifeboat station was the first lifeboat station in Ireland established in 1826 and now houses an all weather lifeboat. Station has limited opening.

Avondale House was built in 1777 for Samuel Hayes, a barrister who wrote a book on Irish Forestry and was a pioneer of the re-afforestation of Ireland, planting many thousands of trees on the estate. He bequeathed it to his friend and fellow MP Sir John Parnell in 1795 and this is the birthplace and home of Charles Stewart Parnell

Wexford County Museum is located within Enniscorthy Castle and contains a collection of local agricultural, military and domestic items. The 13th century Enniscorthy Castle is where Edmund Spenser wrote The Faerie Queene. Sir Henry Wallop lived at the castle allegedly giving birth to the word wallop. The castle was stormed by the United Irishmen in 1798 before they were defeated at the nearby Vinegar
