Peel Bay Beach is Peel’s main beach, a large sandy city beach backed by a promenade. On one side, you have Peel Castle and Peel Harbour, whilst on the other side are red sandstone cliffs. The beach is gently sloping and has some protection from the Peel Breakwater, which also offers some good fishing opportunities. You need to be careful when swimming and keep away from the harbour areas.
Peel Bay Beach does not allow dogs between 10 am and 7 pm during the Summer of 1st April to 30th September. You have an all-year-round dog-friendly beach in Fenella Beach a short walk beside the castle.
Peel is west-facing and is often referred to as Isle of Man’s Sunset City after the spectacular sunsets that can be seen.
Plenty of facilities as the beach is with the city of Peel and benefits from many cafes, pubs, ice-cream parlours and shops. Car parking is easy with many options in the city or the Fenella Beach car park just over the swing bridge by Peel Castle.
