La Corbiere Lighthouse

The La Corbière lighthouse sits on the south-western point of Jersey and is connected via a tidal causeway to La Corbière Beach. Like most lighthouse location this is a spectacular part of the coastline and is very popular with photographers wanting a great sunset picture.

This stretch of coast has a large tidal range that can expose treacherous rocks. The lighthouse tower is 19 mm (62 ft) and was first lit in 1874.

Also located by the lighthouse is a sculpture erected in 1997 to commemorate a rescue of the Saint-Malo catamaran that took place.
