The Isle of Eriska is a private island dedicated to one hotel and a nine-hole golf course with the most gorgeous views across the Argyll coast.
The island is situated on the eastern side of a rift valley and is made up of slate. Here, youโll find a wonderful hotel and a partially buried Crannog or Bronze Age dwelling from around 200 BC!
This is the perfect spot to get away from it all! Dame Judi Dench frequents the hotel as do many romantic couples and overseas visitors who like thought of driving over the rickety old bridge to the house from the past with its roaring log fires and panelled great hall. Books are available to read, a piano to play and a homely but professional service. There is a wonderful spa and the menu is changed daily.
