Trecco Bay is one of Porthcawl’s more family-friendly beaches, backed by a large holiday park. It forms part of the “7 Bays” coastline and is located between Newton Beach (to the east) and Sandy Bay/Coney Beach (to the west).
The beach has no facilities, although the holiday park has lots; you do have seasonal lifeguards. Even though it is only a short walk from Trecco Bay holiday park, this beach is typically not that busy.
Trecco Bay Beach is a large, sandy, and rocky beach situated between two rocky points, Rhych Point and Newton Point. The beach itself remains relatively natural and spacious.
Trecco Bay Beach does not allow dogs from May 1st to September 30th.
You can park behind the holiday park or just around the corner at Newton Beach, but in our opinion, it would be best to stick to Newton Beach in that case.
