Dylan Thomas Boathouse is where poet, writer and broadcaster Dylan Thomas (1914-1953) lived in Laugharne for the last four years of his life. As well as the tearoom with wonderful views of the Taf estuary and the Gower beyond, there is a furnished front parlour, an upstairs exhibition area showing a 24 minute film and a shop. Read more…
Laugharne is a small town in Carmarthenshire, on the Taf estuary, made famous by poet Dylan Thomas where he once lived. Each year in the spring, Laugharne hosts a three day arts festival, the Laugharne Weekend. You don’t really have a beach as such, just a grass area and tidal estuary sand/mud next to the castle.
