Cwmtydu Beach is a sandy/pebble beach with rocks on either side in a small protected cove at the end of a wooded valley. The cove has some caves which were thought to have been used by smugglers back in the day.
An old lime kiln, restored by the National Trust, is at the top of the beach by the car park.
Dogs are allowed all year on Cwmtydu Beach. It is a good base for coastal walks as it is on the Heritage Coast Path, and from August, you have a chance to see Atlantic Grey Seals with their pups in amongst the rocks.
Facilities include toilets, a seasonal cafe, a small car park by the beach and a larger a few hundred yards back up the road.
