You have two lakes; Llyn Brenig and Cronfa Ddwr Alwen Reservoir. The map marker shows parking at the reservoir but you can park at the lake also.
You have 3 main choices here:
- The Brenig Trail a blue/moderate 15km trail with a climb of 150m. Mostly on forest roads.
- The Alwen Trail a blue/moderate 11.5km trail with a climb of 150m. Some sheltered forest and moor land through forest roads and single track.
- The Two Lakes Trail a blue/moderate 22.5km trail with a climb of 200m. Combination of forest roads and single track with a climb after Nant Heilyn.
Best to rack all anti-clockwise and these are shared use trails and so cyclists are asked to give way to walkers and horses.
