About Newquay Zoo
Newquay Zoo is part of the Wild Planet Trust, alongside Paignton Zoo and Living Coasts. The trust is working on projects in both the UK and abroad to support endangered species and the habitats that they live in.
The Newquay Zoo site is set in 13 acres (53,000 m2) of gardens just a short distance from the Newquay town centre or, if driving does have a large car park. Here are some features and attractions at Newquay Zoo:
- Animal Exhibits: Newquay Zoo is home to over 130 species from around the world. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians in habitats that mimic the animals’ natural environments.
- Endangered Species: The zoo has an endangered breeding programme, providing an opportunity to learn about these species and the efforts being made to protect them.
- Jungle Walk: This free-flying bird exhibit immerses you in the Southeast Asian jungle.
- Gardens: The zoo has a selection of gardens with beautiful plants from around the world.
- Children’s Play Areas: Newquay Zoo includes play areas for children, providing them with a space to enjoy and expend energy while visiting the zoo.
- Food and Drink: The zoo has multiple options for getting something to eat, including takeaway options or a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. If you bring your own food, then there are undercover picnic areas.
- Gift Shop: The gift shop is full of unique gifts, cuddly toys and branded souvenirs to purchase as a memento of your visit.
Please note that there may be times when some of our animals may not be viewable or attractions closed. It’s always a good idea to check the zoo’s website and social media channels or contact them directly for the latest information on attractions, opening hours, and any special events.
