Perranuthnoe Beach is a flat beach with a large area of sand, although a word of caution is that when the tide is in, the sand available is very limited. You have a large ramp down onto the beach, allowing easy access.
At the far east of the beach, you have some smaller coves that are more pebble and rocky in nature and can be accessed from the main beach at low tide or from the coast path when the tide is higher.
Perranuthnoe Beach has seasonal dog restrictions, prohibiting dogs from 1st July to 31st August between 10 am โ 6 pm.
You can get some nice waves on Perranuthnoe beach for bodyboarding and surfing.
Perranuthnoe has remained undeveloped as compared to other Cornish beaches. Facilities at the beach include a car park, seasonal lifeguards and a beach cafe, whilst the village has a pub and craft centre.
