Polzeath Beach
Polzeath Beach is sand/shingle and one of the world’s most renowned surfing destinations. On the beach, you also have rock pools and a nature reserve, but much of the beach disappears at high tide.
The surf can cater for all standards, from kids learning to experienced surfers. In the summer, it can get very busy in the water.
Facilities include a car park, lifeguards in the summer months, pubs, cafes and restaurants.
Polzeath Beach is a Blue Flag Beach and has been awarded a regional Seaside Award.
Dog Friendly Beach?
Polzeath beach has seasonal dog restrictions not allowing dogs from 15th May to 30th September between 10 am - 6 pm

Greenaway Beach has sand, pebbles and wonderful rock pools at low tide that provide for excellent fun with crabbing nets. Approached by steps down the cliff below Tregreen usable only at lower tides. Nearly always quiet as it is largely overlooked in favour of Daymer Bay to the south or Hayle Bay and Polzeath to the north. No facilities.

Hawkers Cove beach is an unspoilt beach that as the tide goes out becomes a wide sandy beach which at its lowest point extends across the estuary mouth towards Trebetherick Point, but at high tide the beach all but disappears. You have two bays besides each other here, Lundy Bay and Epphaven Cove are both small beaches of sand and rocks only becoming available as the tide goes out. The beaches are quite sheltered by the headlands of Carnweather Point and Trevan Point, and the area has been landscaped by the National Trust but care should be taken. Excellent cliff
