Porthgwarra Beach is a small, secluded beach in a small fishing village. You will need to time your visit to Porthgwarra Cove well, as only a small beach with a collection of interesting rock pools and caves is available at low tide. The tin miners and fishermen carved the main caves to gain access to the beach.
At high tide, the cove still offers a great swimming and snorkelling opportunity,ย as you can still get good access to the sea from the slipway.
Porthgwarra Beach has seasonal dog restrictions, prohibiting dogs from 1st July to 31st August between 10 am โ 6 pm.
Facilities at Porthgwarra Beach include nearby parking, toilets, a cafe and a small shop.
