Earnse Bay Beach (aka West Shore Beach)

Earnse Bay beach is also known as West Shore beach and is part of the long shallow sandy beach on Walney Island on the western end of Morecambe Bay. The beach is backed by grass and a sand dune system forming a nature reserve to the north.

Due to its location, this is one of Barrow’s popular beaches and can get busy during the summer months.

Earnse Bay is a popular kite surfing and has been a venue for the national kitesurfing championship.

Facilities at the beach include parking and toilets.

We have no current information on dog restrictions for Earnse Bay Beach.
