Bardsea beach is situated at the seaside village of Bardsea on the Furness Peninsula, standing on the west side of Morecambe Bay. The beach is a shingle beach at high tide but at low tide has a large amount of sand. Car parking besides the beach and the chance of a van selling ice-creams,coffee and tea.

Millom beach is not really a true beach but an area of sand and salt marshes on the north shore of the estuary of the River Duddon. The town is small but has a station, pub and some shops.
