Crosscannonby Beach is a dog-friendly beach that allows dogs all year round.

Allonby Bay is popular with windsurfers, and at low tide, the beach is good for kitebuggying.

The area is within the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
