Crosscannonby beach beautiful shingle and sand beach. This beach can sometimes be referred to as Allonby South beach. Allonby Bay is popular with windsurfers and at low tide the beach is good for kite-buggying. The area is within the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Maryport beach sits south of the marina and is a combination of shingle and sand although at high tide it all disappears. Facilities at the beach include car parking at the marina by the lighthouse.

Ravenglass beach is a mix of sand, shingle and mud within the village of Ravenglass. The village is on the estuary where the Esk, the Mite and the Irt all meet the sea. Parking is available in the village along with a couple of pubs.

Askham has two pools, the main pool is 20m long with a qualified lifeguard on duty and the second for smaller children. The pools are set within half an acre of green space bordered by trees. There is also a kiosk selling tasty ice creams and snacks.
