Tyrella Beach
Tyrella Beach lies in Dundrum Bay and is a very wide sandy beach about 2 km long with miles of sand dunes and conservation area at its back.
It’s a wonderful conservation area and the beach has won the numerous awards. Parking is not close as this is a car free zone but it’s well worth the visit as there is wheelchair access, toilets, safe swimming, great amenities and lifeguard patrols during the summer.
Water sports enthusiasts are drawn to the area as are those who enjoy good nature walks and the delights of a perfectly clean beach. There’s a wide choice of accommodation nearby from camping right up to good self catering apartments.
Tyrella Beach is a Blue Flag Beach.
Dog Friendly Beach?
Tyrella beach does not allow dogs during the summer between 10am and 6pm.
