Rockcliffe Beach
Rockcliffe beach is a small sandy beach with rocks set within the small village of Rockcliffe near Dalbeattie.
The beach all but disappears at high tide but as the tide goes out you have large areas of sand and rocks to explore.
Opposite the beach you have the nature reserve on Rough Island. The island can be reached by a tidal causeway but be aware of the tides. As it is a nature reserve you are not allowed access in May and June to protect the breeding birds.
