Red Acre Beach (aka Terrace Beach)
Red Acre is a small rock and shingle beach with sand is exposed as the tide goes out. The beach is bordered by the harbour on one side and the main long Seaham beach on the other. The beach is backed by the town of Seaham.
The beach is also known as Terrace Beach.
This beach is in Seaham town and you have all facilities in the town behind the beach along with a harbour.

Blast Beach was once hidden deep below waste from Dawdon Colliery which was one of the last Durham mines to close. After the mine clean-up, you now have a spectacular stretch of coastline with empty beaches, high cliffs and wildflowers. This is a great location to head out and explore Durham’s Heritage Coast. Car parking is available at Nose’s Point.
