Fraisthorpe Beach is a sandy beach on the East Yorkshire coast, forming part of Bridlington Bay. At this beach, you will have lots of sand as the tide goes out a long way, and it is great for dog walkers as it is allowed all year round and has lots of space to run.
You will also be able to spot debris from sea defence and World War II structures on the beach once they were on the cliffs but, due to coastal corrosion, are now on the beach and in the sea.
Fraisthorpe is a popular kitesurfing beach as it is quieter than Bridlington Beach, and the water is shallow a long way out. But, do avoid either side of high tide as you will need to contend with the World War II structures.
It is about a 3-mile walk from Fraisthorpe into Bridlington, but do check the tide times as if the sea comes in, you will need to take the longer coastal path.
There is a small car park at the end of a single-track lane with a dog-friendly cafe and toilets just a short walk from the car park and beach.
