Wilsthorpe beach is part of a long stretch of sand just to the south of Bridlington on the Yorkshire Coast.
This sandy beach is backed by sand dunes and low cliffs and as the tide goes out you get a flat expanse of golden sand which is ideal for taking long walks or water sports. These flat sands make it popular with power kiting and kite buggying.
Facilities include shops, cafe, campsite, caravan Park, slipway.
Wilsthorpe Beach has been awarded a regional Seaside Award.
Dog Friendly Beach?
Wilsthorpe Beach is dog friendly and allows dogs all year.
Water samples are taken at regular intervals during the bathing season and at the end of the season the water quality is classified as: - Excellent: the highest classification meaning the water is cleanest - Good: generally good water quality - Sufficient: meets minimum standards - Poor: You are advised not to swim. The beach will stay open and an action plan should be in place to improve the water quality.
