Covehithe Beach is a dog-friendly, remote, and unspoilt beach to the north of Southwold in Suffolk.
The beach offers a much quieter and more natural experience than the busier seaside spots nearby. This is a beach to walk along rather than sit. Enjoy a long stretch of beach with cliffs, ideal for those who prefer space, calm and a bit of adventure over crowds and arcades.
Covehithe has an unusual church,ย St Andrew Church in the village, that is worth a visit. You have a small thatched church attached to the remains of what was once a much larger church.
With no facilities other than a bin by the parking area, you will need to bring everything with you. The walk to the beach from the parking is a path across fields, but once on the beach, you have miles to walk.
