Rubha nan Gall lighthouse is located north of Tobermory looking over the Sound of Mull. The name means “Stranger’s Point” in Scottish Gaelic. The lighthouse was built by David and Thomas Stevenson in 1857 and the lighthouse was automated in 1960 with the nearby former keepers’ cottages now privately owned.
